The Location

The Domus Jerusalem will be a unique aesthetic in the holy city, an image of faith and beauty. Located on the Mount of Olives and above the Kidron Valley, the site overlooks the ancient walled city of Jerusalem. It is within walking distance of the Garden of Gethsemane, the Holy Sepulcher and the path of Christ during his last days . For centuries this pilgrim destination has commanded a view of Jerusalem, facing the Lion’s Gate and the entry to the Via Dolorosa. The position on the Mount of Olives is a clear sign of the Church’s vitality in the Holy Land.

The Israeli Interior Ministry has proposed the building of a green space, Solomon’s Gardens, directly below the Domus Jerusalem site.
